I attended the 61st. St. Pete. Fish-A-Thon, A local favorite, located behind the Main Library at Lake Jorgenson. The event was sponsored by the St. Petersburg Civitan Club and the City of St. Petersburg Rec Dept. The banks were lined with families with coolers who were hooking their earthworms on cane poles. Kids of all ages took their catches up to be weighed for great prizes and recognition. Smiles were plentiful and it was a beautiful day in St. Pete.
