Davis in their annual Spaghetti/Bingo night to be held Thursday Oct.1,2009.This event promotes family enrichment-spending time together as a family and as a community. Our Safety Sweat Messenger Bag is loaded with back to school supplies and will be auctioned off. The proceeds will go directly to the schools programs and this family event is sponsored by the Parent Teacher Association and Parent Volunteers. September 25th, 2009Well my children give me great inspiration and ideas! I am always telling the kids, “Don’t go near the street the cars can’t see you!” Well We came up with Safety Sweats and Safety Messenger Bags that are HIGHLY reflective in low light conditions in great designs. So far the feedback from parents and people in general who ride scooters, bicycles or just plain walk at dusk in low light conditions has been great! Keswick Christian Back To School Event

There are so many wonderful schools here in Tampa Bay. Last night Smartie Pants Apparel was invited to Keswick Christian’s back to school event for the lower grade levels. The floors of the gym were glistening and the cheerleaders were lined up across from each other by the large doors with shimmering pom poms raised above their heads. The school band was in full swing on the stage. Over the loud speaker the names of the teachers were called out as they ran thru the ecstatic teen tunnel. The response from the families was frenzied. It was very apparent that this is a school where the parents and teachers are committed and their faith takes priority. We were the last to pack up, we had kids 3 deep picking out temporary tattoos and the parents were enjoying each others company well after the event was officially over. This is what it is all about.

61st. Annual FISH-A-THON
August 4th, 2009I attended the 61st. St. Pete. Fish-A-Thon, A local favorite, located behind the Main Library at Lake Jorgenson. The event was sponsored by the St. Petersburg Civitan Club and the City of St. Petersburg Rec Dept. The banks were lined with families with coolers who were hooking their earthworms on cane poles. Kids of all ages took their catches up to be weighed for great prizes and recognition. Smiles were plentiful and it was a beautiful day in St. Pete.
Race For A Cure

Smartie Pants Apparel is forming a team for The Race for The Cure in downtown St. Pete. Sat. Oct 3rd. We have set a fundraising goal of $500.00 and we believe that we will exceed it. Many of our friends and family have said that thay are going to walk with us and we couldn’t be more excited. Keep an eye out for us, we had Fidel caps embroidered with Smartie Pants and a pink ribbon to show support. Plus 10% of the cap sale we are donating to the Susan Komen Foundation. This will be my wifes sixth year and she normally walks it with our little ones and her girlfriends. This year we have really put out the word and cannot wait to see the results of our efforts.
